Mobility to Strasbourg
At the end of September 2024, participants of the EXTRA-C Project embarked on an inspiring mobility experience to Strasbourg, France, widely regarded as the European capital.
This journey was a unique opportunity for young people with disabilities to explore the beautiful city of Strasbourg while gaining insights into European institutions and their historical significance.
During this week-long event, participants visited key democratic institutions, including the Council of Europe, the European Parliament, and a permanent exhibition titled “The European Project: From Dream to Unity” at Lieu d’Europe.
These visits provided invaluable learning experiences, offering a first-hand look at the structures that uphold democratic values in Europe.
Beyond institutional visits, this mobility fostered meaningful connections between participants from various partner countries. It was an excellent platform for making new friends, sharing opinions, and exchanging experiences.
The success of this mobility underscores a critical message: true inclusion is achievable when we prioritize accessibility, dialogue, and shared understanding.
The Strasbourg Mobility was not only a celebration of diversity and inclusion but also a step forward in building a more engaged and democratic Europe for all citizens.
